Eternal Vigilance Is The Price Of Liberty
Every year, the Second Amendment Institute honors distinguished individuals who have either dedicated their life to defending the Second Amendment, started a national grassroots Second Amendment movement, or carried out an act so great for the Second Amendment, that it cannot go unrecognized.
Second Amendment Institute dues-paying members, Executive Officers, or a Board Member, can nominate an individual for this award. The nominee is voted on by the Board of Directors, and announced in May. The ceremony follows in June, coinciding with the Second Amendment Institute’s founding.
The Second Amendment Institute’s Second Amendment Champion Award began in 2021, coinciding with SAI’s 5th Anniversary. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert received the inaugural award.
Champions receive a customized one-foot American eagle statue and the SAI Executive Officer Team Lapel Pin.
