The Most Solemn of Ceremonies
Formal ceremonies at Arlington often involve the laying of a wreath. These ceremonies typically take place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, attended by ceremonial units from the uniformed services.
Wreath layings by other public figures and organizations take place at the Tomb or at the scores of other memorials throughout the cemetery, although most are not marked with the same ceremonial pomp of the state events.
The Only Second Amendment Organization To Do So
In 2023, the Board of Directors decided that it was time that the Second Amendment Institute took its support for our nation’s military to the next level by becoming the first, and only, national Second Amendment organization to conduct a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The Second Amendment Institute will continue to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier ever year to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.
